A Sick Child Changes Everything

It is Thursday. Our busiest day of the week.

A sick child changes everything.

Instead of spending the day with our homeschool friends, swimming lessons and gymnastics, we are huddled on the couch watching tv shows with our sick supplies nearby us.

Here is hoping that this nice little bug moves quickly through our family or leaves after only infecting one.

I’m attempting to take part in the “The Fifth Annual Slice of Life Story Challenge” through the month of March. The challenge is run by Two Writing Teachers.

Zoë caught the respiratory virus. I caught it and have it still. David has it. She’s better. She went to daycare one day and came back with the stomach “bug”. After 48hr she was better. I have it…here’s hoping my lysoling the place down behind myself yesterday keeps David from getting it. We have missed so much work with our individual and combined illness the past week and a half. Lucky I can still do some things via online/email while down. I look forward to spring and hopefully a lack of the nasties.

Sick Littles are no fun at all! I hope it moves on quickly — I remember the days of everything in a tilt-o-whirl blur with a sick one at home.

Sometimes it’s nice to be able to slow down and reconnect with our kids, to have time for loves and snuggles. Hope your little one is feeling better.
